New Golf Course planned for NSW’s Hunter Valley - Ausgolf
A new course has been planned at the centre point of a new development in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
Capital Corporation has appointed Programmed Turnpoint to construct a championship 18-hole golf course at Lovedale Farm, at the 240-hectare residential and resort development on Wine Country Drive in the Hunter Valley. The course sits at the heart of the master-planned community, with more than half of the site retained as fairways, bushland, parks and water features.
Founded in 2002, Programmed Turnpoint has built more than 17 golf courses across Australia and overseas and currently maintains more than 12 courses nationally. The business employs more than 100 staff across 12 sites, and brings golf architects, construction managers, golf course shapers, agronomists and irrigation specialists to every project it delivers, from initial earthworks through to grow-in and ongoing course maintenance.
Among Programmed Turnpoint’s notable projects are The Cliffs on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, the $20 million destination golf course set to open this year; Magenta Shores on the NSW Central Coast, regularly rated among Australia’s top 50 courses since opening in 2006; and Cape Wickham on King Island, Tasmania, which ranked No.2 in Golf Australia Magazine’s Top 100 Golf Courses in Australia 2026 ranking.
Lovedale Farm’s golf course is set for completion in late 2028, alongside the first 200 homes in Stage 1. With 85% of the first release already sold, momentum continues to build across the development.

Leading the project for Programmed Turnpoint is Justin Trott, President of the Society of Australian Golf Course Architects. Trott’s career spans golf course design, construction and turf maintenance, having joined Turnpoint in 2011 after 16 years at Design Masters, with design firm Thomson Wolveridge & Perrett, where his work included Moonah Links, The National Golf Club and Hamilton Island to name but a few. That combination of design, construction and maintenance experience is expected to bring added depth to the delivery of Lovedale Farm’s course.

Lovedale Farm will comprise 300 residential lots, a 100-key resort and day spa, a dining precinct and a world-class 18-hole championship golf course. HRE Architects has been appointed to design the project’s 1,200 square metre clubhouse, which will sit alongside the course at the social heart of the community.
Pricing for land starts at $687,500 for a 540m² block or $1,187,500 for home and land. The Lovedale Farm display home is located at 119A Wine Country Drive, Lovedale, and is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
